How We Help
We compare originals against copies, complete true-copy certification where appropriate, and help clients understand recipient instructions for multi-document packages.
Cambridge clients may need certified true copies for education, licensing, immigration, estate, business, employment, or banking matters.
Goldstone Law PC helps compare copies to originals before certification.
Cambridge clients may need certified true copies for work, school, licensing, immigration, banking, business, estate, family, or international submissions. These requests often come with a checklist, email, or instruction sheet from the receiving organization, and that guidance should be reviewed before the copy is certified.
Goldstone Law PC helps Cambridge clients compare the original document with the copy and confirm whether true-copy certification is appropriate. We look at visible details such as names, dates, stamps, seals, signatures, page numbers, photos, and attachments. If the receiving office requires a particular certificate, color copy, every-page certification, or multiple copies, clients should bring those instructions to the appointment.
Certified copies may be requested for passports, identity cards, birth or marriage certificates, academic records, professional licences, employment records, corporate documents, resolutions, powers of attorney, estate records, and application packages. The original document is normally required because a scan or phone image does not allow the same comparison.
Where the certified copy is being used outside Canada, additional steps may be needed after certification. Depending on the recipient, the document may also require notarization, apostille, authentication, legalization, translation, or consular review. We help clients flag those possibilities early.
For Cambridge clients, the process is most efficient when the original record, clear copies, identification, recipient instructions, and the required number of copies are available at the start of the appointment.
We also help clients check whether the copy is legible and complete before certification. Faint seals, missing backs of cards, cropped page edges, unclear photos, or omitted attachments can cause problems later, especially where the copy is part of a work, school, immigration, licensing, estate, or banking submission.
For Cambridge clients, we also consider whether the copy will be used once or for several separate submissions. That can affect the number of certified sets needed and how each set should be prepared.
